Beside my continuous interest in exploring shapes and colours with glass as a medium to create my art works, I have concentrated my attention towards other materials and I discovered the great world of solid waste recycling.
I often harvest colours and texture from the abundant waste of the streets and reconstruct them into a new or unexpected form.
My art works and installations represent an intimate desire of beauty in everything is discarded and neglected by humanity.
“Making” becomes a spiritual process, a ritual of purification linking my soul to objects.
These works are created using plastic waste as a carrier of social contents and are often humorous in their conceptual twist. They are made using basic tools and techniques available in the domestic surrounding.
It is a celebration of the ordinary routine of the consumer life: I like to call it “The Housewife’s Revenge”.
